Voices of Light: Qur’an Recitation at Our Orphanage

The sound of Qur’an recitation fills the room with calm and purpose. Sitting side by side, the children gently recite verses they have worked hard to memorize, their voices rising together in unity and faith.

For these children, learning the Qur’an is more than a lesson—it is guidance, comfort, and strength. Each verse recited builds confidence in their hearts and deepens their understanding of patience, kindness, and trust in Allah.

In a environment where many have faced loss at a young age, faith becomes a steady source of reassurance and hope.

The recitation sessions are moments of focus and reflection. Teachers guide them carefully, correcting pronunciation and encouraging memorization with warmth and care. The children listen to one another, support each other, and celebrate progress together.

The Lily Jay Foundation facilitates these meaningful activities on the ground. By encouraging Islamic learning and spiritual growth, the foundation helps nurture not only knowledge, but also resilience and inner peace for these young learners.
