A new water well has been successfully completed in Uganda, providing safe drinking water to families who previously faced daily challenges accessing clean water resources.
For many residents, collecting water previously required walking long distances under intense heat while transporting heavy containers back to their homes. Communities frequently depended on unprotected water sources for drinking, cooking, and washing, which presented persistent health risks to young children and the elderly.
The local community gathered at the project site as clean water flowed from the system for the first time. Children and families filled buckets and storage containers, marking a significant operational milestone and bringing immediate relief to the surrounding households.
The new well is now fully operational and will serve the local population daily. By optimizing closer proximity to clean water, the infrastructure reduces travel times and significantly improves daily living conditions for numerous families in the region.
This project was executed and completed through the direct ground operations of the Lily Jay Foundation, continuing its ongoing mission to establish essential infrastructure and support community stability worldwide.
